We’ve been working on something big.
And realized…
We haven’t shared nearly enough about it.
Because the truth is…
So much happens behind the scenes, it’s sometimes hard to stop and show you.
But we’re trying to get better at that.
So here’s where we’re at right now.
Our plastic manufacturer has been perfecting our injection molds.

What is this exactly?
It’s a custom-made steel mold that plastic gets injected into.
The one above makes the 5 discs sizes for our adjustable rolling pin…
So each disc is perfect, every time…
And matches our prototype exactly.

It’s been 4 months of back-and-forth…
Testing materials, late-night calls…
And refining tiny details most people will never notice—
Like the perfect matte texture.
A couple weeks ago…
We received our latest plastic samples.
Made with our injection molds.
But… they had some problems.
The edge that rolls on the counter needed to be more rounded…
And the plastic itself looked a little warped.
A common struggle when working with plastic.
But after testing 5+ different materials…
Our manufacturer found one that’s higher quality.
And more durable.
So… problem solved.
But there was one more issue.
The imprinted numbers didn’t match our design.
They were too shallow to read clearly.
This, we found out, was unfixable.
Because to imprint the numbers deeper…
They’d need to add metal to the steel mold.
And that’s just not possible.
So we had to make a decision…
Settle for shallow, hard-to-read numbers.
Or… remake the steel mold entirely.
And start testing again from scratch.
The time estimate for re-doing the mold was 1 month.
But we have a goal to get your pin to you in December.
So we worked out a deal to expedite the process.
And now…
They’re working to get new molds made within 2 weeks—
And get through the many rounds of testing ASAP after that.
The decision was easy.
Because we have to make this right.
Quality is everything.
Which is becoming more rare with new products.
But we stand true to the high standards we set out for.
And that’s what you’ll get with…
