2-Ingredient Mango Puree
Try this easy 2-ingredient mango puree as an addition to your favorite desserts or snacks. It's super simple and perfect for a tropical, refreshing touch to your treats.
Use it in our easy mango mousse, swirl it into yogurt, or drizzle it over ice cream. We hope you enjoy making this as much as we do!
Ingredients
- 560 g (4 cups) diced mango, fresh or thawed frozen chunks
- 13-26 g (1-2 Tbsp) granulated sugar (adjust based on the sweetness of your mangoes)
- 15-45 ml (1-3 Tbsp) water (optional)
Instructions
Add mangoes and sugar into a food processor or blender.
Pulse a few times, then process until smooth. If the mango gets stuck in the blade, add water 1 Tbsp at a time as needed.
Strain the puree in batches through a sieve using a rubber spatula into a medium bowl.
Store the mango puree in a glass jar or container with a tight lid for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
Notes
- Blender: You can use an immersion blender instead of a food processor or blender.
- Mangoes: Look for perfectly ripe mangoes - as the fruit matures, the sweetness intensifies.
- Strain: If you prefer bits of pulp, skip this step.
- Sweetness: Adjust the sweetness. Remember, the riper your mango, the sweeter your puree. If you find that it isn’t quite sweet enough, feel free to blend in a drizzle of sugar, honey, or maple syrup.
Happy baking! ❤️
